About

Mr. Frasier

Brent Frazier

It is a great honor to serve as the proud Principal of Umatilla High School.  Having spent over twenty years in education, I can truly say that I am doing what I was put on this earth to do!  I began my teaching career in 2001 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In 2004, we relocated to Lake County and I taught Science and Social Studies at Carver Middle School for seven years. After ten years in the classroom where I had the honor of serving in multiple leadership roles, I chose to pursue administration.  I served as the Dean at Leesburg Elementary for one year, an Assistant Principal at East Ridge High School for 6 years, and then as the Principal of Umatilla Middle School for three years.  As the Principal of UMS,  the school grade improved from a “C” to a “B” in the first year.

I have a beautiful wife, Kimberly Frazier, who spent several years as a teacher and Literacy Coach at UMS.  She is now an administrator at Lake Technical College.  We have two fantastic kids, Jacob and Caleb, who attend Umatilla schools.  Although we are not originally from Umatilla, we take great pride is considering ourselves a part of this great community.

I have always enjoyed “thinking outside of the box” and working with teachers to create innovative ways to meet the needs of every student.  It is my mission to inspire others to pursue greatness.  Greatness for me is not defined solely by one's achievements but by the effort put into the journey.  If you can Dream it, and Believe It, you can Achieve it!
