Horticulture Academy Overview:
This course offers students the ability to become industry certified in one of the largest industries in Florida. FNGLA's Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP) program is fully integrated into the curriculum frameworks for Horticulture Science & Services and Landscape Operations, specifically Agriscience Foundations 1, Introductory Horticulture 2 and Horticulture Science 3.
The FNGLA (Florida Nursery Growers Landscape Association) can help students find available industry scholarships, or find a job. They also recognize exemplary industry accomplishments through several awards and recognitions throughout the year.
In addition, the FNGLA also help students obtain FNGLA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to keep up your certification up-to-date.

Students enrolled can earn one or all of three of the certifications listed below:
*Agriculture Associate Certification-Agriculture encompasses the study of fundamental principles of agriscience safety, scientific and technical procedures, environmental science, food safety, plant and animal sciences applied to agriculture, and food and natural resource systems.
*Florida Certified Horticultural Professional - The FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP) program is the industry's only standard for measuring horticulture knowledge on everything from plant and pest identification to landscape management. The certification is designed for those working in the horticulture industry or studying to enter the field.
*Natural Resources - Natural Resources encompasses the study of the management, improvement, and conservation practices of ecosystems, agroecosystems, soil, water, air, wildlife, wetlands, and forests.
