The Official ACT Self-Paced Course is part of the fee waiver program. ALL STUDENTS at UHS qualify for fee waivers. Students who register (or have already registered) for the October National ACT with an ACT fee waiver should sign into their MyACT(https://my.act.org/) account and add the Official ACT Self-Paced Course, Powered by Kaplan.
The ACT fee waivers ALSO cover:
• Basic registration fees for up to four ACT tests, with or without the writing test
• Free access to The Official ACT Self-Paced Course, Powered by Kaplan
• Test Information Release (TIR) reports—the opportunity for students to request a copy of their questions and answers at registration on three select test dates each year
• Unlimited additional score reports to be sent to colleges or scholarship agencies after testing from any individual National or State and District Test
• College application fees—students can request to have their application fees waived or deferred if they have taken the ACT with a fee waiver. (Note: Students must obtain the waiver from Ms. Campbell or a counselor and the students send it to the college directly.)

We are excited to announce that HBCU Week is hosting a College Fair at Disney Wide World of Sports on October 24, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to receive on-the-spot college scholarships and acceptances!
The college fair is open to all 12th-grade students with a 2.5 GPA or higher and 11th-grade students with a 3.3 GPA or higher.

The Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday continues through Sunday, August 11. It is designed to help Florida families save money on essential items students need for the upcoming year. It includes items such as Up to $1,500 for personal computers, tablets electronic book readers, headphones and related accessories; school supplies selling for $50 or less, such as binders, notebooks, folders, markers and pencils; backpacks, clothing and footwear up to $100; and learning aids and related resources such as flashcards, interactive books and matching games selling for $30 or less.
