Thank you to The Palm Mansion for generously donating their beautiful venue for the Umatilla High School National Honor Society Senior Banquet.
Our seniors had the opportunity to celebrate four years of service, scholarship, leadership, and character alongside their families, advisors, and peers. Throughout the evening, students were recognized with their NHS stoles and scholarships while reflecting on the impact they have made on both our school and community.

Seniors who ordered a Yearbook; You are cordially invited to attend our inaugural Senior Yearbook Signing Party next Friday, May 1st during 5th period in the Bulldog Student Union. We'll supply the yearbooks, pens, pizza, drinks and music; you bring the fun! Spend time with your fellow seniors having lunch
and signing yearbooks! Seniors who are not able to attend may pick up their preordered yearbook beginnig Tuesday, May 5th.
Yearbooks are sold out and will not be sold at this event. Sometimes, the publisher sends us extra copies. If they do, we will be able to sell those on a first-come, first-served basis to any student interested. If you would like to be placed on the wait list, please email Mr. Stokes. StokesR@lake.k12.fl.us. Wait list individuals will be notified the week of May 11th if a book is available to purchase.

Thank you, Lake Technical College, for welcoming 35 students and faculty from South Lake and Umatilla high schools for a first-ever field trip focused on manufacturing and engineering career pathways! The experience introduced our students—already enrolled in related high school coursework—to advanced training options available through Lake Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing & Production Technology and CNC Production Specialist programs. months and is designed to build directly on the foundational skills students are developing in high school. Students and staff were asked to “Purple Up!” today, April 15, 2026, by wearing purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children. Purple was chosen because it is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military. The Umatilla High School JROTC Bulldog Battalion Drill Team led by Sergeant First Class Greg Smith, recently showcased their precision and discipline at the State Drill Meet on 11 April 2026 at Ridge Community High School in Davenport, FL. The cadets demonstrated exceptional teamwork, military bearing, and attention to detail, proving their dedication to excellence. Their hard work and countless hours of practice paid off as they conducted themselves through this meet. The cadet’s achievement goes to show their commitment, skills, leadership, and potential.
